We got this heavy duty machine from Vrieze's final going-out-of-business sale, but Vrieze was not going out of business all that fast. We looked at it and left it there once, but on the second visit we gave in and bought it. As new old stock it was already three years old by then. It looks like quite a simple grey with a sunburst, but the grey's actually metallic, which gives it a nice subtle sparkle. Other than for the colour, "subtle" is not the first word that comes to mind when describing this beast - "heavy" is more obvious. The weight balance is quite good though, and it doesn't dive like the Schecter V-1. The two DiMarzio D Activators are superb and the finish on the guitar is very nice. All in all, a magnificent guitar.
