This is the third in the series of "eighties strats bought in January 2013", bought only two days after the second one. This one is special because it is in (near) mint condition, having been locked away in an attic, in a sorry excuse for a gigbag which doubled as time capsule. The seller had put rather awful pictures in the ad, but our hope that it might be a rare gem proved to be true. No dings or dongs to speak of, and a supercool black and gold crackle to boot. Considering it was about 25 years old when we bought it, it still looks fantastic. It has the telltale eighties combination of a regular nut as well as locking nuts, and a set of mini switches. We didn't get to try it out before buying, and on the first try at home, it seemed dead... Fortunately, that was quickly fixed with a new battery :-) The inexperienced seller may have thought the guitar was broken, but lucky for us, it couldn't be farther from the truth, making it a worthy conclusion of the series.
