So what do you do when the music store you thought would be nice to visit is actually just a collection point for a webstore? Turns out, going to Huub Boel's in Zutphen (where the store used to be back in 2013) to check out his Bo-El guitars is the best thing to do. The store is actually just the front room of a terraced house bursting with cool guitars. The walls were covered with Bo-El's, both new and used, and some older Shine models. We hang around for about two hours, talking to Eelco, the ever so enthusiastic and knowledgeable tech and salesman, drinking coffee and tea and playing some of the guitars. All guitars look awesome and sound even better. We would have very much loved to take one home immediately, but they were a bit beyond our budget. However, it was just our luck that when we visited Meibergen the week after, this second-hand Amsterdam Cherry beauty was looking for a new owner.
