We had looked at Nighthawks a couple of times, but that was always a reissue that are available new in the shops. Nice, but one of the originals has our preference. With an old one you have a risk of technical problems, but we're getting better at judging that risk. So when this Nighthawk is on ebay as non-working we are confident we'll be able to repair it. The seller is from England but luckily he is willing to ship to the Netherlands. When we receive the guitar it is very dusty and dirty and indeed it's not working. After a little inspection the cause is one of the switches so after a repair of €2 we have a working guitar!
The Cherry Sunburst is a very warm colour and after cleaning it's a beautiful deep colour. The guitar has no dings or dongs and looks a lot better after a bit of TLC.
