Less than a week after the first Hondo we find a second one on the marketplace. We saw this model earlier this year on Queen's Day in Lelystad at Used Products, but it had visible traces of rubbish on the body where the neck is stuck; probably someone had taken the neck off at some point and then couldn't get it fixed anymore, so they just scraped and scraped. So it's a shame, and now not worth the money. So when we saw this Hondo offered on the marketplace in good condition for a comparable price, we were immediately interested. Of course a bit lower bid, but surprisingly that bid was accepted. We actually wanted to pick it up in the evening, but the salesman had a condolence and reunion from an old band so that was the next morning. When we got there, he immediately apologized for not being completely clear and it showed when he opened the guitar bag and a regular strat-like guitar came out. Anyway, misunderstanding, it doesn't matter, and he went to get the Hondo. It looked fine so pack up and go, we thought. But when handing over the money, it turned out that the seller had made a mistake before because he thought he had agreed to an offer for that strat ... But a man a man, a word a word and we got the Hondo for us bid. Super! It is a pity that you cannot give the seller feedback on Marktplaats as on eBay, because otherwise we would certainly have left something positive there.

And then the guitar: nice contrast between the black and white wood. Too bad the hardware is not black because that would have finished it even more. It is slightly less heavy than a Gibson LP and plays well. Neck is a bit thinner than the Hondo DeLuxe but not as thin as an Ibanez neck.
